Recipe Instructions

  • Serves: 4 | Total Cooking Time: 7 hours

Step 1

Soak the fried kelp in warm water for 15 minutes to make kelp water for the sauce.

Step 2

Combine all the sauce ingredients thoroughly and set it aside.

Step 3

In a deep pot, add 4 cups of water, a teaspoons of salt and a tablespoon of vinegar. Add 1 dozen eggs and boil for 6-7 minutes. Then, take out all the eggs and soak them in ice water to cool them down. Remove egg shells, then set the peeled eggs aside.

Step 4

Place the eggs in a deep glass food container and pour all the sauce over the eggs. Sprinkle chopped red chili peppers and sesame seeds inside. Cover the surface with plastic wrap and tighten around the edges of the container. Close the lid and refrigerate for at least 6 hours.

Step 5

Place a marinated egg on the cooked rice and drizzle the sauce and seasme oil on top. Sprinkle Gim Jaban (seasoned roasted seaweed flakes) and combine all together. Then, it is ready to eat!
