Recipe Instructions

  • Serves: 1 | Total Cooking Time: 10 minutes

Step 1

Add a pinch of salt into boiling water then blanch the spinach for about 30 seconds. Squeeze out the water.

Step 2

Follow step one to prep the bean sprouts. Boil for 3 minutes instead.

Step 3

In a big bowl, throw in the minced beef and then add 2 tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tbsp of sesame oil, 2 tbsp of sugar, 1 tbsp of mirin, and black pepper to marinade. While marinating the beef for about 20 minutes, julienne the vegetables.

Step 4

On medium heat, stir fry each ingredients separately. (zucchini, carrot, shiitake mushroom, minced beef) Don’t forget to fry an egg, sunny side up!

Step 5

To make the red pepper paste sauce, combine 2 tbsp of red pepper paste, 1 tbsp of sesame oil, 1 tbsp of sesame seeds, ½ tbsp of minced garlic, and 1 tbsp of sugar.

Step 6

Coat the stone bowl generously with sesame oil then add rice followed by the stir fried ingredients. Close the lid then cook on medium heat until you hear the rice crackle. (est. 5 mins)

Step 7

Top it off with a sunny side egg and a dollop of the pepper paste sauce! Enjoy!
